Scotts DRZ400 Stabiliser and SUB Mount Install

The Scotts DRZ400 steering stabiliser for the SUB mount tripple clamp is a fairly straightforward item to install. The only step that really takes any time (and care) is the filing of the weld around the steering head.

The weld around the steering head interferes with the frame bracket. There are a number of power tools that can be used to remove this excess weld however I prefer to take my time and do it with a hand file as it lessens the chance of accidentally taking off too much material or biting into the frame itself.
